Journal entry: increased duties

Tonight after doing the dishes, I felt a need to journal.

Q is studying for the GMAT plus he starts a new job next Monday. So I'm doing my best to allow him weekday evening study time as well as maximum weekend study time. He's also taking a GMAT class every W evening 630-930.

It's been about 4 weeks of studying and I'm beginning to feel like a for real full time mom with a very part time dad. Not knocking on him, just sayin'.

He takes care of the kids between 7-8:30am. He takes L to YCP T and Th am. He takes out the trash. And I'm sure a lot of other things...

I, however, have C full time. I pick up L. I cook/prepare dinner. I bathe the kids, read and pray with them, tuck them in. I wash the dishes. Tend to C at night.

I do the grocery shopping, buy the kids' clothes, clean the house.

Q is super clean and so naturally helps me keep the house clean, especially since we have the house on the market.

I'm bracing myself for next week: when L YCP ends and I have both boys all day everyday AND Q goes to work at 6:30am. Oh, and my MIL will start summer shift which means she won't be available to babysit in the mornings like she does now when I have a dental appt or just need a couple of hours to myself.

So this is what a stay at home mom does- full time. I do enjoy it, but it is definitely not easy.

I'll need a morning routine and lesson plans for sure!
